Internet explorer 7 keeps crashing

Hi guys, really struggling here right now even to stay on this screen.
I recently downloaded the new internet explorer 7 today and every since then, everytime I click on the shortcut or anything it gives me the error of internet explorer has encounted a problem and needs to close,
If I keep opening them up sometimes I get lucky like right now, Also if a new screen opens whilst I'm surfing, it does the same and then closes all my browses open.

Hey again, well today it seems to be loading up fine but again when I open a new window sometimes its closing down again or if I use the short cut keys like the home or favourites?
I've also recently noticed a new icon in my task bar which I've never seen before which is a little globe I think with a red cross through it and now and again I get what looks to be a foreign pop up for a split second before one of the many globes loses its red cross and opens up with green on either corner? could that have anything to do with it? and if not do you have any idea what it is?
Really is appreciated, thankyou

No sorry it's not, its actually in the system tray on the bottom right of the screen where the time etc is. I've never seen anything like it before, sometimes if I leave the computer for a long time and return to it, there are many of them but right now there aren't so I can't take a screen shot I'm sorry, but later on I'll try get one for you because I'm running late for work,
