Comment: Hi there, Hope you can help... I have had problems with my internet connection (cable) for some time now because whenever the connection is enabled, my system is slugglish. (esp. scrolling - painstakingly slow) When the connection is disabled the system reacts as normal. I use AVG as an anti virus software and it identified keenval.B and keenval.D as invaders (however, I believe I am rid of them both as AVG isn't picking them up anymore). I have run a number of programs to clean up the system (spybot, dustbuster and system mechanic) to no avail and have tried creating a new connection. As I have mentioned, the problem is only happening when the internet connection is enabled. I'm at the end of my own solutions (which are very limited). Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks, sj Thanks, sj

Reply: (edit)Do you have to run a special program for your internet connection (I know some cable companies have there own software you need to install). Perhaps this software is conflicting with other software on your pc. http://www.anti-trojan.org

Reply: (edit)Jon, Thanks for your reply. As far as I know, I have no software from the cable company (I'm with Rogers from Ontario Canada). Additional advice would be awesome if you think of anything. Thanks, sj

Reply: (edit)hey stephiej, (at the risk of me sounding like a broken record) had a customer machine not three days ago slowed down to a crawl while his cable connection was up. ran like a charm disconnected. actually had nothing to do with the cable modem, or the connection. had everything to do with CoolWebSearch. Once CWS was removed, it was a great help and we could move on to bigger and better things. :) smile, almost anything can be fixed. give this handy tool a try: CWShredder No promises, but worth your time to try. GOOD LUCK! AOSCLAY
