Specs: Windows XP, amd Athlon 64 processor
When I boot up my computer a program attempts to connect to the internet. I don't know if this is a wrong setting or a virus. I have Avast, Spybot-SD, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Iobit Security. While i have found problems the internet connection still attemps to open on boot. I would appreciate any suggestions.

It's possibly a legitimate program checking for updates -
RealPlayer & HP leap to mind but there are many others - check
any programs that start automatically at boot & disable any
auto-update functions
