My firewall (Sygate) has been blocking a lot of IP's adresses today, a lot more than usual. What concerns me is this message from Sygate:

[181.1] Inbound DCE BIND to potentially vulnerable RPC DCOM interface attempt detected

What does it mean in plain english? I've have run spybot, adadware norton, all up to date and nothing was found on my computer.

Whatever it is-- your firewall doesn't like it, and since you don't know what it is, you may be better off without it, but that is up to you. Have you looked in your firewall's data base or asked them about it?

Someone is banging on your door using the above decribed knocking pattern hoping someone inside will recognize and open the door....your firewall is saying "go away, we gave at the office."
