I found my PC infected with spy,mal and adware. Using Adaware, and spybot I got rid of most. However several files cause me concern

1. A file called five dale way.exe keeps reappearing and seeking access to the internet (file is found in a directory called shim glue) I can't find a referecne on the web regarding this.

2. I discovered a series 27 to be exact of directories that where created in one day which where named Frag B-Frag Live Frag etc. Only one had file content the other had a file named longlistbrowser can't recall the extension though I think it was dll. I erased the files and this appears to have partially removed unwanted search bars.

3. in my browser i discovered a search bar which is named inter army. This appears everytime I have unchecked it (right click toolbar)and although at first looking harmless and pretty, eventually has buttons directing to what presumably are adult sites. I Can't find a file on the PC named by that name, and although spybot and my pruning of directoriesthe removed the search bar the name of the search bar still appears when right clicking in the toolbar area

Symantec security check revealed only a few ports being open and security risks. How do I close the ports?

I have installed IEGuard 34b314, spybot and am now installing spyblaster. I run zonealarm free firewall, MS internet firewall on all connections and Norton AV

Hi Cosmic...
I am not acquainted with 5 dale, but it is acting like a trojan dialer. Try to delete it first through Task Manager/process, then do a search for it in explore. I suspect that you will not be able to delete it - I hope it is not a regenerator.

If that doesn't work, download HiJack This and put it in its own folder off the C drive (or which ever drive has your OS on it); do not put it directly on C or in any temp folder. Close down all open windows and run it. The start button then turns into a Save Log. Save the log and post it here, and we will take a look at it. Be sure to include the Startup Log with the post.
