Specs: Tripple Boot, 6GB
I've been running A tripple boot OSX,Win7 and Linux Mint 10 for a while now, never had virus protection on any of them. I belive that if your intelegent, no matter where you go, youll avoid viruses without any problem.

I wanna know if this is a good method, its worked for over a year, and before that i used Win 98/XP/Vista the same way, zero virus protection, pure intelegence, if i had a problem or a virus, i found and removed it myself, which i only had to do 2 times. both turned out only to be false alarms. and both were on vista.

So i wanna know, am i doing somthing right? Am i just lucky?

You have been lucky.
By exercising caution in the sites you visit and what you download you can avoid most trouble - but not all. There are many dangers on the internet and you can't avoid them all.

You need malware protection.

Thats where i use my skill and knowledge of advanced OS systematics to detect and delete threats myself. So do i need it on windows only? Or all 3? Since *Nix frameworks are pretty much vaults.

You state you have already had to remove two viruses yourself? So that already shows me your idea doesn't work that good.A lot of sites will download nasty stuff without asking or seeing, and with real time heuristic protection it catches these before you start seeing the problems or they get a good foot hold in your pc..
Virus makers must love you, hope you keep having good luck.
