I'm not sure if it's Virus-related, but when I IM somone, each time I send a message, my computer freezes for 5 seconds. It doesn't do that in AIM chatrooms. Does anyone know what's the problem? Please help me. It's getting annoying.

I have the same exact problem. It doesn't matter what program I use though, MSN Messenger (or) Trillian both will lag for like 5 seconds after i send an instant message for each message i send (the windows themselves (chat and main))... Curious if this is some kind of spyware although I do use Ad-Aware and AVG Antivirus (they both have the latest updates)... If anyone knows a solution to this problem please e-mail me. thanks.

This is kind of late but I'm having the same problem.. If someone knows how to help.. Please Reply... I use AOL Instant Messenger.. and theres a 6 second delay after i hit enter to when my message is sent.. While that time.. my aim window freezes until the message is sent... All other programs work fine.. just the Instant Messenger.
