Comment:

I have just reinstalled XP on this machine and don't wan't to conenct to the internet without having AVG install. But everytime I try to install it, it fails because it detects I do not have an internet connection. Is this the way AVG works now? Kind of defeats the purpose.

I figured it out. It took me a long time but I finally found a complete version of 8.0. I installed it, connected to the internet and then downloaded all the updates.
