Comment:

I have recently recieved a computer virus that activates Windows Installer frequently.

A pop up will come up saying things along the lines of "Installing Windows XP" or "Searching Windows XP" and a bunch of other bullcrap. The problem is, I don't even have XP! I have 2000!

I'm also getting a ton of pop-ups online with windows pertaining to free media services online and video hosting sites.

It's getting sooooo annoying and I have no clue what to do!

HELP!?!?!?!?!?

Do some updated spyware checks, it will work for you

Let me guess?!?

No Router?

No Firewall?

No Antispyware?

Download AdAware 2007, Spybot Search & Destroy, install ALL M$ updates and buy a Router.

Now all you need is an AV package.

Let me answer your guesses:

1. I have a Belkin Pre-N Router
2. I have two firewalls
3. I have multiple anti-spyware programs
4. I already have have AA, I have S&D PRO, HiJackThis, and I installed all updates.

You fail at guessing
