Solved install norton antivirus from product key

Norton by symantec / Multi-device 360 1 device

Specs: Windows 8
I have Toshiba notebook running windows 8. It is core 1.7 and about I year old. It came with 3 months free and that has expired. I tried once previously to install Norton but it kept telling me it was invalid code. despite repeated attempts it would not load. Six months later I have purchased another single device 360 product from Harvey norman. It still would not load into the already installed Norton program. Someone told me to get rid of all traces of Norton and then re-install but I do not know where to find this. I went to the Norton web site but could not find a link to complete this. Any advice?

First, is the key for the same version of Norton you already had on the machine - e.g. a '360' key won't work with 'Internet Security'. If they are different or you are still having problems then uninstall the existing product from 'Programs and Features' and go to the Norton website: and select the download you need.

Sometimes Norton and other antiviruses and firewalls are not easy to remove.
If you are still in trouble use their uninstaller from here:
