Infection - Download.trojan

Help......... seems someone got computer infected with a virus. Virus name is, "download.trojan" Anyone heard of that? Not only that, there seems to be tons of popups appearing. Updated spybot, updated adaware ran scan and cleaned house. The popups are still coming though.

Anyone have any ideas on clearing this beast?

I recently downloaded AVG 6.0 free version and it runs great. I'd give that a shot.
