I keep on getting these annoying popups, and the security balloon on my toolbar says that I've been infected with PSW.x-Vir trojan.
I downloaded HijackThis like I saw on other posts. I can show you the log if you need it.
Please let me know how to fix this problem. Thank you :)

Our resident 'HJT' expert usually isn't available until late afternoon/early evenings because of other commitments. If you are able to begin dealing with your infections now, i will offer assistance. If not, wait for 'Jabuck' later in the day.

a noob should never use HJT. like my little cousin, he scanned the pc with HJT. he thought everything that HJT shows is virus, so he deleted all the file that showed on HJT. LOL! everything is gone. so funny.
