Avg Internet security 2yr/3u 9.0
June 10, 2010 at 07:53:24
Specs: Windows Vista
When I went to a website my AVG security detected an infected website and a box popped up explaining the website was infected and was a security risk for personal information etc. I just xed out of the box, and immediately exited out of the internet. Then when I tried to get back on the internet I receive the Internet Explorer message can't display the page and I can't get on the internet at all now. The computer shows I do have a connection, and my 2wire att&t dsl modem shows all green lights. But Internet Explorer won't go to any webpages. Can anyone help? Thanks

open internet explorer, click on tools/internet options/connections/Lan settings and uncheck proxy server.

That should get you going.
Avast is much better than AVG in that aspect....Avast would automatically abort your connection. Avast has better real-time protection than most other AV's.

Some HELP in posting on plus free progs and instructions Cheers
