The geek squad is a bunch of incompetent morons. I had a boot sector failure and took in my hard drive to see if they could fix it. Lie/Ignorance #1: they told me I had to bring in my tower to access the hard drive. (HAVE THEY NEVER HEARD OF A SATA DRIVE DOCKING STATION?) Lie/Ignorance # 2: they also told me that the only think they can tell by running tests on the hard drive was whether it was physically beyond recovery or not (ARE THEY IDOTS?) Anyway, I decided to take on the hassle myself and got a docking station, recovered the data (it was only a boot sector issue) and then reformatted the drive and restored the data. The geek squad are not geeks, but morons.
