Comment:

McAfee just discovered a new virus that destroys the 0 sector of the hard drive, rendering the OS unbootable. The only fix is to reinstall the OS.

If you get an email with the subject called POSTCARD FROM HALLMARK or anything with POSTCARD in the subject, delete it immediately!

The virus is also programmed to make the email say it was sent from one of your contacts, making it seem it's safe. But it isn't! Your friends/contacts did not send this.

Microsoft calls this "the most destructive virus ever created". I will also be posting this message at the lounge. I just wanted to let everyone know.

Okay, I won't be posting this at the lounge. CN won't let me.

Whenever you see alarming texts such as "Microsoft calls this the most destructive virus ever created", you can bet your bottom dollar it's a hoax and that you will find the associated text immediately with Google.

Same applies if you are asked to pass stuff on to everyone.

I didn't know. The warning email was sent to mom by one of her email friends and she sent it to me. THEN mom tells me it might be a hoax AFTER I posted a warning on CN.
