Ok, so I have an issue with my PC where "System" in task manager is using a ridiculous amount of ram. It's supposed to use about 300 bytes and its using about 61k instead. My computer is old, so you can imagine that this is a performance hog. I don't know what's causing the issue. I have no hardware issues as far as I know, and Windows tells me nothing (I love how helpful Microsoft is). It's gotten so bad it's using more RAM than Firefox 3, and that uses a lot of memory. If anybody could tell me anything it would be much appreciated. BTW: I scanned with Ad-Aware Free and AVG Antivirus Free and found nothing.

Download and update Malwarebytes http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php Now boot into safemode and run the full scan. Access safemode by tapping f8 on startup. If the problem persists,download ProcessExplorer from systemInternals http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/... Under System,expand the + sign and look for what maybe using the resources.
