Ok, so I have an issue with my PC where "System" in task manager is using a ridiculous amount of ram. It's supposed to use about 300 bytes and its using about 61k instead. My computer is old, so you can imagine that this is a performance hog. I don't know what's causing the issue. I have no hardware issues as far as I know, and Windows tells me nothing (I love how helpful Microsoft is). It's gotten so bad it's using more RAM than Firefox 3, and that uses a lot of memory. If anybody could tell me anything it would be much appreciated. BTW: I scanned with Ad-Aware Free and AVG Antivirus Free and found nothing.

Download and update Malwarebytes

Now boot into safemode and run the full scan.

Access safemode by tapping f8 on startup.

If the problem persists, download ProcessExplorer from systemInternals
