The results of Malwarebytes say "no action taken" which usually mean nothing was removed. Run Malwarebytes again by these directions paying close attention to item 6..if you did that already turn off any antispyware with realtime protection that you may have a run it again. Maybe we did this before?

If iolo or AVG are not turned off the repair may not work.

Please download ComboFix to the desktop from one of the following links:

Link1

Link 2

Link 3

Combofix is a powerful tool so follow the instructions exactly or you could damage your computer.

Very Important! Temporarily disable your anti-virus, script blocking and any anti-malware real-time protection before performing a scan. They can interfere with Combofix and remove some of its embedded files which may cause "unpredictable results".
Click on This Link to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive. If yours is not listed and you don't know how to disable it, please ask.

In your case to run Combofix do the following:
1. Go offline turn off your AVG antivirus, iolo from pc mechanics and any other antispyware that you may have.
2. Run Combofix and save its log.
3. Restart the computer to get the antivirus running again but leave the antispyware programs off until we get the computer cleaned.
4. Post the Combofix log.

Remember to re-enable the protection again afterwards before connecting to the Internet.

Double-click combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
(Don't click on the window while the program is running or move the mouse, it will cause your system to hang.)
Please post the log it produces.

Go to start> control panel> java> update> update now. If an update is available install it then go to add/remove programs and uninstall the older version.

Open Notepad and copy/paste everything between the X's into it and make sure the first word (such as KILLALL, Registry Or File, etc.) is at the very top of the page.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Registry::
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\windows]
"AppInit_DLLs"=

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Go to File on the top bar and choose" Save As", Change the "Save As Type" to All Files, Name it CFScript.txt then save it to your desktop.
Then drag/drop the CFScript.txt onto ComboFix.exe (the red symbol on your desktop) if combofix does not auto start click "run".

Empty the restore folder. Go to start>control panel>system>system restore tab>check the box beside "turn off system restore>apply (takes a minute)>ok. Go back and uncheck the box to turn system restore back on>apply>ok.

You computer appears to be clean

Go to start> run> combofix /u (note the space after combofix) then press enter> run. This will uninstall combofix so give the uninstaller a minute to run.

Go to start> control panel> add/remove programs and uninstall these programs:

Hijack This

Malwarebytes

Eset

Bitdefender

You should keep AFT Cleaner and run it weekly.

You should consider adding "Spywareblaster" to your arsenol of antispyware tools, you can download it from this link Spywareblaster

Just download it,install it, and update it. Its free and runs in the background, so you don't actually run it, and re-writes malicious script before it can install on your computer. Look for updates weekly as there is no auto-update on the free version.

How is the computer operating?

it might appear to be "clean" but i just ran avg, and while it comes up with no infections, it still comes up with 105 "warnings count". which is a lot, if this computer is clean. just did the atf, and started avg all over again. it seems as though a lot are "cookies" maybe? and maybe the atf will help that? do i have other options? is it possible to post a screen shot of the avg after it has scanned and brougth up all its little 'warnings'?! Muchos Gracias for ALL of your help! And many thanks for your time, to boot!

Sorry for the delay, been sick.

This tool should remove the annoyances that you describe, sounds like cookies though.

Please download SuperAntiSpyware from the following link to your desktop:

2. Under Scanner Options make sure the following are checked (leave all others unchecked):
3. Close browsers before scanning.
4. Scan for tracking cookies.
5. Terminate memory threats before quarantining.

DO NOT run yet.

Now reboot into Safe Mode: How to enter safe mode(XP)

Select the option for Safe Mode using the arrow keys.
Then press enter on your keyboard to boot into Safe Mode.

Now Scan with SuperAntiSpyware
1. Open from the desktop icon or the program Files list
On the left, make sure you check C:\Fixed Drive.
2. Perform a Complete scan. After scan,Verify they are all checked.
3. Click OK on the summary screen to quarantine all found items.
4. If asked if you want to reboot, click "Yes" and reboot normally.

To retrieve the removal information after reboot, launch SUPERAntispyware again.
1. Click Preferences, then click the Statistics/Logs tab.
2. Under Scanner Logs, double-click SuperAntiSpyware Scan Log.
3. If there are several logs, click the current dated log and press View log.
4. A text file will open in your default text editor.
5. Please copy and paste the Scan Log results in your next reply.
