OS: XP pro
CPU/Ram: P4 2.53, 512Mb
Comment:

I have several issues that I think are connected.
1)When I go to start, "search for files" the computer stops responding for 30 seconds, and won't allow me to search for files

2) Internet Explorer hangs esp. when trying to use links or dropdowns. IExplorer crashes with a code hungapp, and cpu goes to 100% useage

3) I have got four svchost.exe in task manager 2 are user name system (normal) but the others are Local service, and network service. They dont show in safe mode.

4) my home page keeps changong its self to www.search-space.com

Run AVS and norton (current updates)come up as clean. Also run spybot.

My hijack this log.

PLease helppppp!!!

I think there might be others that need to be removed, but I'm not sure.

Actually you might run CWShredder too before fixing anything with HJT.

CWShredder direct download

After you run it, then reboot and run HJT again and post another log.

I seem to have the same problem as womble1979, as set out above.

1)When I go to start, "search for files" the computer stops responding for 30 seconds, and won't allow me to search for files

2) Internet Explorer hangs esp. when trying to use links or dropdowns. IExplorer crashes with a code hungapp, and cpu goes to 100% useage

3) I have got several svchost.exe in task manager 2 are user name system (normal) but the others are Local service, and network service.

4) my home page, too, keeps changing its self to www.search-space.com

I have run Avg, Spybot and AdAware, and also Trojan Remover, but it's still there!

CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP

all help gratefully received....

steve
