Hi,
I seem to have just received this. It will not be removed by deleting asit just reappears.Changing the .exe into .bat does not remove it as it just recreates itself as an .exe.
How do I open "regedit"? I read that one could remove it from the registry. I believe that it may have come with WinFixer.
AVG and AdAware do not recognise it as being malicious.

if you have internet explorer open, that's what it is. But if not you may have something. You might want to try running your scans in safe mode as well. And get Spybot S&D also.

I had that happen to me once, (iexplore.exe running when I didn't have it open). I think I got rid of it by uninstalling my file sharing program, now I am paranoid and just use itunes for music haha.

iexplore.exe can be a virus or parasite, but it also can be a legit system file that runs Microsoft Internet Explorer. Its exact purpose usually depends on its location. If it is in C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer you do not have to worry. But if it is elsewhere, you might be in trouble. To make it clear see THIS page.

THIS tutorial explains how to open and use Registry Editor.
