IE7 Opens Then Crashes

Well, where to begin. When I open IE7 it stays open for a min or two then encounters a problem and must close. I cannot open the registry editor, cmd, or go back to a restore point. I have disabled all of the add ons for IE. When it was working I was having a redirecting problem (i would do a web search and the blue hyperlink results would match, but the link that at the bottom would be to somewhere completely different). Just not sure where to start.
