IE6 Has Lost Its Java Functions...

My IE6 browser will no longer use java functions on any page. I've changed all the java related security features to LOW, rebooted and logged on, but it still doesn't respond.
Anyone have a solution?
Did some malware/trojan destroy my advpack.dll file or alter the registry in some way preventing its use?
