Comment:

During surfing I happened to get viruses and Trojans. All removed by AVG and Norton.
2. But my IE start up page has been hijacked by a SEARCH site even though the address bar still shows "about blank". If I change "about blank" to some other site it returns to "about blank" with the same SEARCH site.
3. When I get on the internet, a pop up appears saying that "SPYWARE FOUND ON YOUR PC" and blah blah. When I click the pop up it links to the site
"search.morgen.cc/searchphp? pin=microsoft+anti+spyware"
3. However no connection was made to the above site.
4. All other systems are working OK and I can access other sites and surf the net.
5. My question is
Should I let the system remain as it is or Is there a need to do something??
6. I have tried SPYBOT. It did point out some problems but even after they were removed, the SEARCH site remains.
7. Any ideas??

Did you update Spybot(use the EON mirror,
if you get a checksum error during the update)? Have you also installed and updated Adaware from Lvasoft? Many times it really helps to run both programs, be sure to use them while the computer is in the safe mode.

Lets see - you clicked on a pop up and then you got crap on your computer.

Run Spybot and Adaware - then search your C -drive and the registry for the search bar name and delete them all.

Then expect to have to do it all again if you click on another pop up.

Get NoAds and target those popups so they never show up a second time.

Delete all your internet files and run disk cleanup too.

Good luck
