I have some infections that are really annoying. IE opens whenever I am in firefox with ads, also I have to shortcuts on the desktop for halp and support and windows update that are put there by a virus, every time I delete them the reappear. I run Zone alarm, Spybot and Ad aware 6 with current defenitions. Spybot has picked up the registry changes through Tea Timer and now im getting a never ending list of blocked registry changes, really annoying. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In Firefox go to tools... options. It will open in main. look down at the bottom and click on the check now box and see if Firefor is your default browser.
If it is not then that would explain why IE keeps opening.

It sounds like Spybot is doing its job...blocking changes in the registry.
Unless you have been installing a lot of new software , and then again it is asking if the change is ok with you.

If the change is ok with you click yes and it won't ask you again.

I am sorry, I was really stressed when I wrote that question so it was not really clear. I know I am infected with more than one virus. I have internet explorer windows open randomly with ads for various things depending on what I am searching at the time. I have fake warning messages that warn me that my computer is infected. I have the isafe precess running on startup, but it can be canceled and it doesnt come back. Spybot and adaware are blocked access to the update server even when I turn off zone alarm, but I managed to updater spybot before I got infected, so that defenition is relatively recent, but adawares is very out of date, so im not so sure how well its scanning.

Sorry for the earlier post, I was a bit stressed. I can post a hijack this report if people would like to see it.

I know I may sound like a bit of a noob, but this all happened within about 10 minutes of being unprotected so i guess I deserve it :p
