Comment:

When I open up IE I can get the first instance running fine, but when I either right click- open in new window or ctrl-n to get a new one the first instance always closes automatically and Im just left with the new one. I was previously infected by several parasites and thought it might be the result of one of them, but I dont really know for sure. Any ideas on how to stop this would be greatly apprecaited.
Thanks,
Andrew

Try left clicking ie on taskber. Should be able to open as many as you want. You can safely delete IE icon on desktop and only use quickstart by start button, Hope this helps. Frank

I tried reinstalling IE and it didn't do anything about the problem. I also have tried launching IE in a number of ways including desktop icons, taskbar and from the start menu. No matter which way I open it, it still always closes out the original instance before opening another one.
