Whenever i'm online, internet explorer windows randomly open. several at a time. i have the hijackthis log. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

it might be simple commercials displayed by the websites you visit. but it can also be adware - advertising software that installs itself without your permission and displays pop-ups. you can check if you have adware by running anti spyware scan. if you don't use security programs, here are some anti spyware downloads.
