Help. when i open Internet explorer in the background it starts opening up many porn sites as well as My Documents folder. I have run virus scan, adaware and hi-jack this and it shows nothing. It dosent do this all the time, just about every 5-6 times. Can someone please give me some suggestions.. thanks LINN

hi vbals1, disable your system restore to flush out any malware in your restore folder, get your latest anti-virus, adaware and spybot defs, if you have an anti-virus do the same. if not go to www.thepublicworks.com, scroll down to payware, and link to trojan hunter and download free 30 day trial, get the defs. make sure that all your files are visible, that is there are no hidden files. reboot to safe mode and scan your computer with all of these, delete all files, then clean your cache, temp files, history and cookies folder, clean your recycle bin. next run your hijackthis and scan. post your hijackthis log, seems interesting. someone here will take a look at it. all the best, murve
