Hi all, a friend likes to know your thoughts about the new IE 7 beta 2 release. I believe the update won't work on Win 98 so can't download and test it.
TIA

It will work on Windows 2000, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, & Windows XP.

My thought? Tried it for 6 weeks & dumped it for the very same reason that Scot Finnie dumped it. Read his report below...

Internet Explorer 7 Has No Soul

Better yet, ignore my comment and that of Scot and do the beta for M$. M$ will love you (without giving you anything in return).

genietech is correct about IE7 system requirement. The original worked for the systems I outlined for you. The latest remogveded most OS except for XP SP2, XP Pro x64 ^ Windows Server 2003 SP1.

Hey XpUser, on another thread that you posted you talked about beta testing for WOC and how you got screwed by M$. I thought about testing IE7 until I read this thread.

After reading what Scotand you had to say I don't think I'll waste my time and just stick to Firefox for now.

I have already tested this IE 7. I am unfortunate person who downloaded it. IE 7 tries to control your every move. I thought about downgrading that to IE 5.5 alot better and alot less headache. Firefox I like, takes a bit to start up I wish there was a extension to get rid of the slow start up, once done then it should be a good program.
