After downloading from several webpages related to security, I have my system infected. Antivirus Gard cannot detect anything but synthomps are:

-A Wallpaper on top of my own one (a text, not an image)
-Three files are identified as viruses by AVG (EF, WINSOCK and SKILLER), all of them in Windows\system
-After a while, certain programs cannot be executed (for instance, Firefox, IE, Outlook). There are others that can be executed (Word)
-Pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del causes nothing to happen

Any clue on all that?

thanks

thanks

Did you try scanning your system using anti-spyware tools? If not, please take a look on THIS list of reliable spyware removers. I suggest choosing a recommended program.

Modern antivirus programs not always can detect and completelyremove spyware, adware and spyware trojans. That is why you should have a powerful anti-spyware installed.
