Hi Folks,

A few days ago I discovered that I had the kwbot virus. My OS is XP. I used NAV to located and delete the files (157 of them). I also did as instructed by Norton, delete two registry entries. I thought I was virus free at that point.

Well, I was wrong. Now whenever I connect to the internet (using DSL ppoe) My cpu utilization goes sky high, my computer crawls, and if I'm at a web site with a text entry field, the field is writing it's own text. I've scanned many times with norton, and can't find anything else. Is there anything I can do, besides a fresh install?

Get the removal tool from Symantec or Trend and follow the instructions, paying special attention for the System Restore removal instructions. All the best!
