I was using mIRC 6.02 and browsing some internet sites, but all of a sudden, the side scroll bar went all the way down and I couldn't scroll back up. When I went to mIRC, the blinking | for entering dialog just went to the right like I was holding space bar. My Hide/Unhide tray went crazy when I clicked on it once. I did a scan with Norton antivirus with 2/28 dat files and found nothing. I also did spybot and deleted some spyware, and I ran housecall and found nothing. I was had this problem 4 years ago and that turned out to be a virus, but I have no virus this time. Anyone know what kind of intrusion it was?

I would not trust iRC, adn would keep scanning till it told me there's a virus, especially if the behavior is the same as before, exactly as before?

You can scan at www.pandasoftware.com
www.symantec.com
www.housecall.antivirus.com

Yeah, I had this same thing happen when I was using my old computer. I was using McAfee virus scan then and it found a virus. I've scanned using housecall, norton, even spybot to check if it may have been something like that. The behavior stopped after I disconnected from the internet and cleaned up using spybot. I deleted all cookies, history, etc. Could the virus have been installed using a script through IE? I turn all the java and extra scripts and certificates etc. off too.
