I left my computer on while i was at work, and when i got home the screen was black. I restarted the computer and the screen was fuzzy and distorted like a Nintendo with too much dirt in it. It would boot in normal mode, but the screen was black and purple and fuzzy, so I couldnt really make out anything. I restarted it in safe mode, and the the screen to choose to start it in safe mode was messed up. it had smiley faces and diamonds and musical notes all over the place, and some of the letters were wrong, so it was really hard to read. it did come up in safe mode though. however, it was distorted as well, but only in sections. it would have a visible line and a distorted line, visible line and distorted line, etc. I was able to do a virus scan from safe mode, but it didnt find anything. I restored my computer, but that didnt help. I figure I will have to reformat my computer, but since I have a lot of stuff on it I figured I'd ask if there is anything else I can do first.

I cant get it up in normal mode, and it wont let me connect to the internet in safe mode. This actually happened once before about a week ago, but somehow in the process of restarting it a dozen times windows decided to fix itself. It was distorted on the screen to choose to boot in safe mode, but when it got into safe mode for like the 6th time it was clear. I restarted it and it booted into windows, and then it said windows has recovered from a serious error. At that point I did do a virus scan on the trend micro site, but it didnt find anything.
