i did an online virus scan using bit defender, and it found 8 things which it could not clean or delete. they were all linked to the same filepath.

C:\WINNT\system32\spool\drivers\b103\pegsvc32.exe=>(instylero)=>%appfolder%\

that was the same for each of the things it found, and these were the bits that varied on the end.

abc.bat is infected with Backdoor.IRC.Cloner.T
abc.exe is infected with Trojan.IRC.Flood.BQ
Esa61243.exe=>UPX is infected with Trojan.DOS.Nenet.A
hot.dll is infected with Backdoor.Libdoor
reg3.ocx is infected with Backdoor.IRC.Cloner.O
svchost32.exe is infected with Backdoor.Cloner.A
syn2.exe is infected with Trojan.Delf.B
targa.exe is infected with Trojan.DoS.Mixter.A

i located the file 'pegsvc32.exe' which it says they're all located in, but thought it best not to delete it.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi marc,
you need to download a good anti-trojan, so go to www.thepublicworks.com, go to payware section, link to trojan hunter, and download free 30 day trial, get the latest defs.
go to safe mode, and scan with your anti-trojan. delete all files.
then clean your cache, temp files, history and cookies folder, recycle bin.
reboot to normal mode and do a search for those offending files and if found delete them.
all the best,
murve

i did what you said, but trojan hunter didn't find anything in safe mode. seemingly only the bit defender scan can find the files.
maybe i should just delete the file that they're all in, i did a google search for the file and that had no results. so it surely can't be a necessary file.
