I have a web page home-login-help.com that takes over safari

March 29, 2015 at 00:34:15
Specs: Macintosh OS X 10.10.2
This web site takes over whenever I search or select a bookmarked site. Usually I can hit the back arrow (show the previous page) and this allows my original selection to come up, but not always. I have been into preferences and removed it from homepage under general tab (don't know how it got there) but it has made no difference. Any thoughts, Thanks,
Tom Morgan

Tom, try clearing your browsers (safari) cached files.

I do not know Chrome well but look in your add ons and see if it is there and remove or disable it.
Go to add/remove programs and if it is there, uninstall it.
Run Malwarebytes and post the log back here for review (copy/paste).

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

You will need to ensure that you use MalwareBytes for Mac. Seems there is such thing around (from Google) but I've never used the Mac version, and know little about it or the websites that host it.

"AdwCleaner" and/or "Junkware Removal Tool" would be better focussed for this situation but I've been unable to find Mac versions.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
