You can try to get in "safe mode with networking", virus will not activate there. Restart your computer, as you hear the beeping noise, press F8 frequently, and then choose"safe mode with networking" with up or down arrow, press Enter.
performan a full scan with your antivirus, if you know the name of the virus, you may better google for detail instructions. Wish you good luck!

Have you tried downloading a portable anti virus (free) program and running it of a flash drive or cd?
You can also save and run it off your hard drive.
But....be sure to do the following.
Example: You download SAS com.....Save it as stuff com as the virus is not looking for stuff. or whatever odd name you give it.

In safe mode is best but not all anti virus programs will run in safe mode.....

Some times renaming the anti virus program works well also, unless the virus
has already rendered the program useless.
