Lately when I reach the Google Search Page...and click on something....i get re-directed?

I am using the latest version of Firefox with Google search engine. This never happen to me before, but has seemed to happen on more than 1 computer lately

I hope that I am explaining this correctly. I don't believe the problem is with my computers. I do get to the right google page as always....i get re-directed there. It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens enough to be irritating.

Don't be so sure. Every day we get a handful of new postings related to redirection in this Security & Virus Forum. If the problem isn't with users computers (as you declared), then where is the problem coming from?

Hmmm....maybe I do have a virus?....but...that program didn't find it. I downloaded it twice. Once from the link....and once from cnet. I also couldn't detect a virus with MalwareBytes or Avast scans. I just noticed a couple redirects yesterday....and thought I would mention it in the discussion forum.
I did jump on Twitter when they were having problems...but, jumped back off quickly (I didn't twit). Have had Avast running constantly....so if I have Google re-direct virus....it had to sneak in somehow? ...By the way, I did go offline & turn off virus protection while doing scan with that program.

I did have a problem with Firefox (Google search) re-direct a long time ago. I un-installed FF & re-installed which eliminated the re-direct problems. Also used CCleaner to clean up stuff on HD after un-install of FF.

So, now I am wondering...do I have a problem? Didn't get any re-directs today?

Hey, thanks everyone for the suggestions. I haven't gotten anymore re-directs & I didn't do anything else...except reboot my DSL & router the next day cause I think my data line went down overnight. I didn't download that mcafee thing either. Could a bad (noisy) data line cause redirect problems? Idk...just thought I'd throw that out there?
