I say ME is alot better than XP and other operating systems, i have had no problems what so ever with WINME. but i have read messages from everyone on this message board and they all have had real big problems with it, i guess it all depends on what setup you have curently i have a very good setup:

Windows ME
HP PAVILION
264SRD-RAM
22GHZ PENTIUM IIII PROCESSOR
60GB HARD DRIVE
DSL CONNECTION WITH DIAL UP CAPABILITIES
GEFORCE GRAPHICS CARD
NAV 2002 PROFESSIONAL FIREWALL

plus the fact that i never f*ck about with my computer unless i know 100% what im doing, and the only time i opend it up was to add the RAM update. i prefer to learn first then mess about, some other people could learn from me.

Anyway let me know if u disagree with this statement, tell me what problems you have had and were they sorted or not???/

these are the kind of posts that shouldn't be posted here...and because folks like you aren't mindful of where you leave your spam droppings, alot of other peoples posts will get deleted...i hope you are happy

If you have a spare £2100 you can get it from PC world in Stockport Manchester UK.

The one near the Jaguar Car dealer on burchfiled road.

Why are u thinking of getting a better machine, i think you could do with one. You can never go wrong with a HP Pavilion with WINME.

Let me know how that works out.

Ok i have surfed the HP sites and check Intel site but there is no P IIII 22 Ghz.

Neo, I WILL buy it right now, if its only £2100. Even for £3000, I WILL buy it for P IIII 22 Ghz.
Please give me more details about it.

I think you do have a point if you don't mess around with your computer it will run a while but ME isn't as great as you put it do you have USB devices ... might i ask how well they run on the OS ??? I SUX WITH USB .... freezes the entire desktop when you right click on thumbnails and this has happened to many people and this happens evern when you do nothing with your comp as you said ... maybe this hasn't happened with your comp recently but give it a few months about 2-3 and you will be talking differently :)

Well,I've been running ME with a USB devices for almost two years, and have had no problems to speak of...YET!.
As far as H/P goes,I think they suck.My first PC was a H/P...the power supply died on the second day.Went back, got another one,a better/higher version PC.It completely died 3 months later.
Went back to get another one,but NOT a H/P this time! Got a top-of-the-line Compaq, determined to stay away from H/P.Three days later, the Compaq/H-P merger was announced.I couldn't believe it.But my ME machine has held held up quite well, and I'm gonna ride it out 'til it dies.
