Okay!
My desktop disappeared! The windows key, nothing works except task manager. I can start msconfig and tell windows to start in safe mode. Safe Mode has the desktop.
Now... In regular mode. I noticed that explorer.exe is running at 99% all the time. I kill the process and then a svhost.exe starts up at 99%. Kill that and I get the RPC shutdown window.
I got online in safe mode and ran trojanscan.com and the online virus scan. Nothing except a troj porndial.bs. Deleted that.
Here is my log but this is only in safemode.

I'll leave the rest of the log to the HJT experts but I noticed that you have new.net on your computer. If you want to get rid of that, here are instructions from the owner of new.net to uninstall completely. If you don't get everything, it can play havoc with your internet connection.

mamabear, thanks for that link, I copied it to a notepad file for future reference in HJT analysis for others and myself.

Just download and try this freeware, in order to see if you don't have any other malware embaded into your system: Trojan Remover 6.15

If anyone using ie-spyad tries to download the uninstaller on that page..(the one on how to remove new.net)....you can't until you enable file downloads in the restricted zone in IE. That is all you need to enable...don't need java, or axtive x to get the download! (that is if you have it disabled as per default restricted zone settings)(the site shows up in restricted zone)
