I got a W32/Gaobot.worm.gen.h virus

Q#1/ I did a virus scan and it says I have W32/Gaobot.worm.gen.h. How do I get rid of it. Is there a removal tool or what? Q#2/ If I would completly reinstall my xp would that get rid of viruses and or worms? Please HELP Thank You

kingmast, Follow the Removal Instructions at the link below. Make sure that you download & install the Critical Updates at the Windows Update site. The link also has a link to a Removal Tool.
You should be able to get rid of this worm without the need to reformat and completely reinstall Windows but if that's the route you want to take it will get rid of any viruses/trojans on your system but you still would have to download and install all Critical Updates to help protect your computer from future attacks.
