I scanned my computer with Norton Antivirus yesterday and it found a trojan virus. It said it was located in a photoshop version 7 folder, the problem is i don't have photohop 7, I do have 6 though. It's currently quarentined on my computer. I just wanted to know how the heck to get rid of this thing if I don't have the file. Also, my antivirus program has an error scanning all incoming and outcoming emails. It is set to and I wanted to know if anyone knows how to get it to work again without uninstalling and reinstalling. I'm afraid that my virus will get out of quarantine and mess up more of my computer. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks a lot

Do not worry about it getting out of quarantine. Drop down the the forum about the Nice KLEZ removal tool, since the KLEZ attacks your antivirus software. Get back with what you find, also the name of it. So we can do some more searching for you.

On this site, a previous post indicated there is a spyware of a sort in Photoshop 7, it may be inherited by 6 from an up-date ??
The spyware reports back to base your PC details, IP address and looks for unregistered copies of this program.
If you deleted the bug would the program still work ???
This was the post.....

This may not have anything to do with your problem though. What is the name of your Trojan ?

Michael,
I have a legit registered version of Photoshop 7, as far as I can tell it does not have spyware included in it.
It does not attempt to report back to Adobe by any means.
However, my Adobe Acrobat attempt every time I use it to "talk" to Adobe looking for upgrades.
But, still no spyware of any sort.

I was able to find the folder finally and I deleted it. Will this end the trojan? I have no idea how that file got into my computer, nut I got rid of it. Also, how do I find out what kind of Trojan it was? I checked in my antivirus activity log and all it said was trojan horse virus found. Thanks a lot everybody for the help.
