Comment: clicked on "trust bla bla bla" when I was visiting a shady site and my whole computer became full of spyware and crap. How do I "untrust" this site so that it does not install more crap the next time I visit that site again? The site in question is astalavista.box.sk I have already removed the spyware with pestpatrol and spybot. But I want to untrust the site itself so that it asks again the next time I go there if I want to install that crap again... Now it just fills up my comp everytime I go there... :(

Reply: (edit)Tony, is there a popup box when you visit this site that asks for you to install something to use its features? I have no idea why you would even want to check out, let alone routinely re-visit such a site, even if you grant approval of their installing spyware by using the popup box license. Go to this website, use the scans to see what you need to do to increase your browser security settings http://www.jasons-toolbox.com/BrowserSecurity/

Reply: (edit)Add the site in question to your restricted sites zone will work too. (Restricted zone security settings should be set to high) IE properties Security tab Restricted sites Click sites button Type in the url in the add this site to the zone box Click add Click ok To check the settings... Click custom level in the restricted sites zone where it says reset to...should be on high If it isnt use the pulldown arrow, choose high Ok Apply OK If you are gonna visit such sites for cracks and stuff...expect to get hit with all sorts of crapware including viruses and trojans.... some of those sites install trojans etc just visiting the site! ...in the long run it's cheaper to buy the program or find alternative free ones that do the job just as well. You might also want to check out the trusted sites zone...if that site is in there...remove it. Hope that helps.
