i found w32/keylog-idim what is it

i posted this in the wrong forum be4. ok yesterday i mcafee virusscan my hard drive and i found w32/keylog-idim virus on several of my exe and uninstall files. including my favorite program ICQ.exe. The choices are delete it or leave it there. I tried reinstall icq it still scans the same virus. I need to know if this virus is "okay" to have on hard drive or not. Please help

I did a Google search and checked the virus encyclopedia at Symantec.com.Nothing shows up.Keylog huh?That sounds a lot like a keylogger to me!If it is a keylogger,that's spy tool to monitor and record keystrokes on your keyboard.Have you contacted McAfee to ask exactly what this is?They detected it, so I'm sure they know what it is.I would try that.Hope this helps you.JB

ya i did the same search everywhere but can't find what the heck it is. i haven't email mcafee yet maybe i should ask them thx anyway.

Mcafee is supposed to have a forum also.I can't find the address though.If you can find that forum,you may get an answer a little quicker.Regards.JB
