i found a site with aremoval tool for the aim virus. I'm gonna try it tomorrow at work. Unless someone posts to stop me! Any advance feedback would be cool, if anyone has any...the address is //www.jayloden.com/VirusClean.htm
Best of luck to all who try it... I'm gonna. But to tell the truth, I'm a little afraid to look in my aim profile and see if its in my home pc, too!

Good on you, rebeccaestes!
Always great to hear of a removal tool update, and particular AIM as it's an annoying little sod.
We've used Jayloden's tools in the past,
so if they recommend Raisp.com's tool, I think you are on a good bet. I'll have a look at it as well.

here is the blurb from Jayloden's site:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
UPDATE! The folks over at raisp.com have produced a great removal tool, available for download HERE . Give it a try, it should work on all versions of Windows and all three virus types! Please note that the removal tool does NOT remove the link itself from your profile. Please remove the link yourself by editing your profile. Our tool has been removed from this site since the rsaisp tool is more effective.

AIM VIRUS REMOVAL

"Whoa....look what I found, click here"

or

"I can't believe I found 'yourScreenName' Picture here"

If this appeared in your profile and you cant get rid of it, you are infected with a virus. Read on for removal instructions.

IMPORTANT: If you are seeing many other effects like "adult links" and extra toolbars in your Internet Explorer, the virus has also installed other programs called spyware and adware. To remove them download and run Spybot AND Ad-Aware then update and run a full system scan with each.

I found a new virus for the AIM Profile, and coincidentally I have it. It is a link that says "View My Buddy Profile" I've tried deleting it with the methods for other AIM viruses, but to no avail. PLEASE HELP!!!
