|Not too sure what a cricket EC1075 is, but if it's a mobile phone of some sort that you are using to access the internet on your laptop then you have it what is called 'tethered'. In that case you can use the laptop in internet sharing mode, but you would have to connect the PS3 with a cable, it won't work wirelessly (not even too sure if it would work with a cable to be honest), & you'd end up paying a fortune in data charges unless you're in an unlimited data plan.|
I still suspect you are using a router somewhere though as that would be the only thing that should be asking for a WPA key,
When you connect using your laptop, open the wireless connection icon in the system tray & see what network is says you are connected to - that will be the one you want your PS3 to connect to.
