I cant update anti viruse or log in email

Specs: Windows XP
I believe I have been infected by some sort of virus. I cannot log into any website that requires my password, nor can I update my anti virus. I tried to install AVG but it comes up with an error. It says I need an active internet connection. I have disabled my firewall and still no luck. I have ran malware bytes and it finds no infections. I have ran Trend Micro House Call, but I still cannot log into any website. I am confused and I don't know what else to do. Please help.

Download and run Kaspersky AVP tool in safe mode: http://devbuilds.kaspersky-labs.com...
Once you download and start the tool in safe mode:
# Check below options:

    * Select all the objects/places to be scanned. 
    * Settings > Customize > Heuristic analyzer > Enable deep rootkit search

# Click Scan
# Fix what it detects
# Zip/Rar Scan log/Summary and upload it to rapidshare.com. Post download link in your next message.
