For some reason i can't open a single pdf file on my pc. I have several times downloaded and installed adobe acrobat reader successfully, but when I try to open the file, I get the message "...(file name)... is not a valid Win32 application"

At a Website - try R.Click on the PDF File and 'Save Target As' instead of 'Download'

I'm talking about pdf's already on my hard drive! And if i open adobe acrobat first, and THEN try to access the file, it says "There was an error processing a page. There was a problem reading this document (9)" then it says "The file contains information not understood by the viewer. Suppress further errors?" , then if i say no, it gives me the first error on every page i go to, but nothing shows up at all. And i HAVE opened these files before and they worked fine.

The weird thing is that it knows the correct amount of pages there are, and if the file has it, it shows the table of contents, or chapter index, or whatever it is on the left column.

The pdf file your are trying to read was most likely produced with a newer version of adobe acrobat distiller, best advice is to download the latest version of the free acrobat reader which will be able to read the newer pdf files and also backward compatible for the older pdf file format.
good luck :)

I already have the most updated file version. And these are not new files, i've read them before with no problems. Plus, this little error happens to EVERY PDF ON MY COMPUTER! Old or new, i already have the most updated reader, and it is installed correctly, i even tried multiple times and it gives me no errors. I believe this is a virus, and I don't think the pdf's themselves have been compromised.
