I can't run an .exe. Anytime i try to run one, i get a message saying "Windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\...'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search." with ok as the only button. This happens for any exe and it says it can't find it in the exact location the file i am currently trying to run should be. This is NOT a simple program of the shortcuts pointing to the wrong place. Anything that runs an .exe will give me that similar error. Even if i go to the location it's pointing to, and when i find the file i'm looking for in that location and i run it, it still gives me an error saying it can't find the file that i'm currently running. It's always saying that it can't find... and then says it's exact location, of course different files have different locations, but it is always the location of the file i'm trying to run. This problem was referred to before, but never solved. Please HELP! Thank you!

P.S.
There was an online virus program that was mentioned to temporarily solve this problem. Sorry i don't remember the name, but could someone point me in the direction of one? One that i can execute even WITH this current problem?

http://www.invircible.com/download/fixregex.com
thats suppose to be a temp fix, untill you get the virus removed. from invercible antivirus.

EXEFIX08 from http://home.earthlink.net/~rmbox/Reticulated/Toys.html will definitely correct the registry problem.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!! It worked! The post WhitPhil made i jumped to first and the file he says was first on the list. I donwloaded it in 3 seconds using a 56k modem while downloading other files in that background, opened the zip file. Ran the program, and it fixed EVERYTHING IMMEDIATLY!! NO extra downloading or files or nothing!!!!!! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!

You are very welcome.
BUT
The reason this happened was because you had a virus or a trojan, your virus program detected and quarantined/deleted it, and did't fix the registry.
If it was a trojan, you potentially had an outsider with full access to your pc. Immmediately change all passwords.
Start running your virus program in continuous mode.
Install a firewall like ZoneAlarm www.zonealarm.comAND, update your virus defs and do another full scan, just to be sure.
