I’ve had this problem for quite a while now.
It usually occurs to indie games and other small applications (Livestream Procaster is notorious on my system, I haven’t even made it launch once and tech support has no idea), however it also seems to affect some AAA games as well, like Payday 2 and various Battlefield titles.
I’ve been trying to fix this in many ways. Memtest shows no errors, refitting/swapping/cleaning RAM chips/slots does nothing, OS and various software reinstalls didn’t work either. I have no clue what’s going on.

Download the free version.
Install and Run the program but before doing its Scan go to “Settings > Detection and Protection” and put a checkmark in “Scan for rootkits”. Quarantine anything it finds.
If any of them find something please copy/paste the associated logs on here.
Always pop back and let us know the outcome – thanks
