AVG 7.5 Free Edition is installed on my computer. When I open word, excel, powerpoint files, I receive the message Requested for virus scanning and this process takes few seconds to open these files.
How can I disable this scanning while opening of these types of file so that these file can be opened quickly ?

In AVG 8.0 if you go to "Tools > Advanced Settings > Resident Shield > Advanced Settings" you can exclude any file types you do not wish AVG to scan. Excel, for example, would be XLS.
I've lost touch with AVG 7.5 but I would have thought there would be similar settings somewhere. There is a slight risk of-course because Excel macro's are programs so they could possibly be infected.
