how to remove trojan horse exploit_c.tky

Specs: Windows XP, Intel 1.73ghz/1GB
I have an HP Pavilion Laptop, and a teen who lives on Facebook. I did a scan recently and found the trojan horse exploit_c.tky in three locations on my AVG removed one of them, but since it is the free version, it didn't have the room to remove the other two versions. If I purchase AVG will I be able to keep my computer clean? Or is another version recommended? I'd appreciate any input, thanks.

Firstly, I would get rid of AVG as when it comes to viruses, it isn't the best protection. You're better off using Avast!, Kaspersky, or NOD32, but it's your choice. As for the malware. Firstly, I'd like to download and run Rkill found here: please DO NOT use the computer while it scans, and also please DO NOT reboot after it finishes, as this will cause the malware to respawn it's process. After the scan has finished, download, update, and run Malware Bytes from here:

Let me know if this helps!
