Subject: How to get rid of asledit.cpy.dll?! OS: Windows XP CPU/Ram: 1.54 GHz/256 MB RAM

Comment: My AdAware has detected this file: C:\windows\system32\asledit.cpy.lll and it is not able to delete it. I have tried searching for it and deleting it but I get a message that says "access is denied" and that it "may be in use." Ever since AdAware has detected it, it takes me FOREVER to log on to my computer, and I get random pop-ups I wasn't getting before. Any ideas how to get rid of this? I can post my logfile if you would like. Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Reply: (edit)Try going into "safe mode" (tap F8 key while booting up). Run AdAware from "safe mode". _________________________ Computers work with absolute flawless perfection, until the first person touches them!

Reply: (edit)To remove the Look2Me trojan, use the link below. It should take you to an uninstall program and give you a key to remove the trojan. I emailed the company and demanded they tell me how to remove it. They emailed back with this link. It worked perfectly. No more trojan. Lavasoft couldn't do it. Now my system is clean. Good luck. http://www.look2me.com/cgi-bin/UnInstaller
